MAPLE SYRUP TIME AT DEEP RIVER COUNTY PARK

March 14 & 15 and March 21 & 22, 2009

Demonstrations of the maple syrup making process from tapping trees to tasting pure maple syrup.  Educational tours, family fun, both indoors and out.

WORLD WAR II TRIBUTE

Remembering those who served and all who supported them on the homefront

May 2 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.)  & May 3 (10 a.m. until 4 p.m.), 2009

$5 per person; Children under 7 Free

WWII military equipment, including tanks, jeeps, half-tracks, and more provide a backdrop for Allied and Axis reenactor encampments.  WWII veterans share their memories.  Skirmishes and battlefield maneuvers.  Food concessions, Victory Gardens, USO entertainment.  Franklin D. Roosevelt, Patriotic closing ceremony on Sunday honoring all veterans.

“A Traveler’s Gathering of the Fur Trade Era”
