Summer Day Camps at Gibson Woods

Give your children a unique opportunity to spend a part of their summer exploring nature at our State Dedicated Nature Preserve, Gibson Woods. This summer, we are offering two exciting sessions of summer day camp perfect for school aged children! 

Each week-long session is $100, and includes a light snack each day. Children should come with a packed lunch, and plan to spend time outdoors. Register by calling 219-844-3188.

Pollinator Power

  • Monday, June 18- Friday, June 22
  • 9 AM- 3:30 PM
  • Children ages 5-8

Pollinators are some of the hardest working creatures in nature. In this camp that coincides with National Pollinator Week, campers will learn about bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, beetles, and other pollinators while practicing safe ways to them work.  


Nature's Superheroes

  • Monday, July 16- Friday, July 20
  • 9 AM-3:30 PM
  • Children ages 7-10

  Buzz! Chirp! Zip! Did you know ants can carry something that weighs 50 times more than they do? Join as we adventure into the world of our local animal super heroes and learn how to defeat some of the villains too.
