New Beginning for Community Games

In past years there were eight consecutive days of events in early August for adults to compete and enjoy.  With growing interest among park departments and community recreation providers to join the partnership of park departments and businesses that organize the games, we need to change and grow.   

We are excited to present the “Tour ‘da Fun”, a schedule or recreational events for adults 50+.   The Lake County Parks and Recreation Department is proud to work in partnership with Cedar Lake, Crown Point, Dyer, Highland, Lowell, Merrillville, Munster, and Schererville Parks and Recreation Departments and with the Hammond Area YMCA and Wittenberg Village to bring this programming to you.

• Opening Day is at Highland Lincoln Center Sunday, June 1 at 1 p.m.

• Registration is FREE!

• Events are scheduled from June through September

• Join the tour at any time.

• Play as many games as you wish

• Free Passports with event dates and details may be picked up at any “Tour ‘da Fun” park office beginning April 15.
