    Each year June through September every day at 11 am Bellaboo’s outdoor garden is tended to by YOU! Foster a love of gardening in your little one with these fun activities. The flowers and vegetable garden at Bellaboo’s is planted, showered and loved completely by kids! Each day little diggers will feature garden songs, worm digs and eco-friendly information that young minds can dig their shovels into!

    Cedar Creek's popular golf lessons are back again in 2018! Both beginner, and intermediate lessons available. Beginner lessons are for kids with no prior experience, and the intermediate level is perfect if your child has had previous golf lessons at Cedar Creek, or elsewhere. Personal clubs welcome, but required. Call to register, there is limited capacity.

  6. Weekly Dragonfly and Butterflies Hike

    Gibson Woods is home to 23 documented species of dragonflies, as well as many butterflies. This year’s hikes will include a focus on butterflies as we walk each Tuesday from May 29-September 25 to find out who is flitting about.   8. Northwest Indiana Dragonfly Hunt: Fancher Lake, Lake Co. Fairgrounds

    We’ll be exploring the region looking for local dragonflies. For this hunt, we will meet at the Lake Co. Fairgrounds South Parking area (near the corner of 121st and Court Streets.)     Three cheers for the red, white and blue! Celebrate Independence Day with a weekend at the park! There will be sarsaparilla floats for sale, grinding demonstrations in the historic Wood's mill, and plenty of Industrial Revolution education. The kids will have a blast with patriotic tattoos, firework facepaint, and American flag hunts!
