All trails are closed during hunting season. However the boat launch remains open year round.
If you have any questions stop by the cabin by the main parking lot we are open daily from 4 a.m. until one hour after sunset.

2022 Waterfowl Season
Draw Time: 4:30 AM
Time: Varies depending on blind
Cost: $10.00 per person, seniors (65+) and youths $5.00
You must have a party of 3 or 4 licensed hunters to draw.

waterfowl hunting regulations
- Draw for blinds will be at 4:30 am at the check-in cabin each day of the posted season.
- You must have a party of 3 or 4 licensed hunters to draw.
- The fee is $10.00, $5.00 for seniors (65+), and $5.00 for youths per person per day.
- Shooting time varies depending on the blind number. Please know the shooting time for your blind.
- Hunters are required to sign a liability waiver before hunting.
- Hunters will leave their hunting license at the check-in cabin.
- Non-toxic shot is required.
- 25 shell limit.
- Up to 4 people are allowed in each blind.
- Areas designated as “refuge” are non-violate. Trespassing by either hunters or dogs is strictly not allowed.
- Hunters must check in all game harvested.
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted in any hunting areas or the check-in cabin.
- Violation of any GKM hunting regulations may result in the loss of hunting privileges at GKM for the season. Beyond the GKM regulations understand and comply with all regulations set by the IDNR and USFWS.

2022 Deer Regulations
- Hunters are required to sign a liability release form prior to hunting
- Hunters must check-in and leave their deer-hunting license at the check-in station before hunting
- A $20.00 permit fee is required. The fee is good until the season closes or deer is harvested.
- Hunters are allowed to harvest a total of 4 deer off the property each year. With only one antlered animal allowed to be harvested.
- Tree stands must be legibly marked with the owner’s name, address, and telephone number.
- Hunters are limited to one stand per individual per area.
- All tree stands must be removed from park property no later than March 1.
- Hunters shall contact park personnel when a wounded deer goes off the property or enters a closed area.
- Check-in time will be at 5:00 am each day of the posted season. Site choice will be on a first come first serve basis unless more hunters are present at 5:00 am than there are available spots, in which case a draw will take place.
- Hunters shall check in all deer harvested on the property at the check station and report to park personnel any deer that are wounded but not harvested.
- Shooting times for all deer seasons will be ½ hour before sunrise till ½ hour after sunset.
- No rifles or handguns are allowed.
