More than 300 species of native plants are found at Gibson Woods, including a variety of rare and unique species. Join a park naturalist for a walk through the preserve to learn more about our flora. Comfortable shoes and insect repellent recommended.
Weekly Dragonfly Hunts
Tuesdays June 9- September 29 from 9:30-11 AM
Gibson Woods is home to 20+ documented species of dragonflies. Explore the trails in search of these amazing winged hunters.

Enjoy those long summer nights by coming out to Gibson Woods as we keep the preserve open later. Stop in to learn something new or just take a hike on the trails.
Hummingbirds: Talk and Walk

Humming birds are a summer jewel. Carol Harsh Wild Birds Unlimited will be here to explain their lives and how to have them become backyard visitors.
