Fall 2025 Update:
Our last step to finalize this project is drilling a well. This well will provide water for the newly installed comfort station, located by the shelters. This comfort station has 4 toilets and 2 sinks in total, all utilizing low-flow, water-saving fixtures. In accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, work will not commence until we have met all requirements and been approved by IDEM.

WHEN NATURE CALLS...
A brand-new comfort station is being built at the Big Maple Lake area of Deep River County Park, thanks to the incredible generosity of local resident Bill Modrak.
This addition will provide visitors with convenient and accessible restroom facilities, enhancing the overall park experience for everyone. Whether you're enjoying a day of fishing by the lake, exploring the trails, or picnicking with family, this new comfort station will offer a welcome amenity.
We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Modrak for his thoughtful donation. His commitment to the park ensures a more enjoyable visit for countless park goers for years to come.
